Our concrete contractor will soon begin replacing sidewalk panels that are safety hazards. All of the repair locations have been marked with a set of arrows and corresponding repair numbers. Each section of concrete sidewalk will be replaced from arrow to arrow at each location. The work will begin on July 19th at the first house on the list (3616 Paseo de las Nardos) and continue down the list until the last house (4041 Wolf Run Road) is complete. The contractor expects the replacements will be completed by August 2. The last three locations on the list will be fixed by grinding down the edges of the sidewalk panels to eliminate tripping hazards on August 3.

Once the concrete has been removed there can be no vehicle or foot traffic on that area for 4 to 5 days.  Barricades will be placed beforehand and will be kept in place until the panel is dry.

Houses that have panels being replaced preventing homeowners from using their driveways are indicated and should be evident with arrows and corresponding repair numbers. Each section of concrete sidewalk will be replaced from arrow to arrow at each location.  Barricades must remain in place in front of driveways until the panels are ready to be driven on.

Approximately 5 panels will be replaced per day but variables (how easy the existing panels can be removed, the availability of forms, the amount of cement in the cement truck, weather, etc.) prevent the contractor from knowing which panels will be replaced on what days. Please check the list to see which addresses have had their panels removed and replaced.  This should allow homeowners to predict the approximate days the panels in front of their house will be replaced.

The Street Committee thanks you for your cooperation and patience.

The Springs Homeowners Association (HOA) welcomes you!  We’re delighted you’re visiting our website and are eager to provide you with information about our unique community, Green Valley, and our home here in The Springs.

The Springs is located in beautiful Green Valley, Arizona, and we believe everything you’ve been looking for is right outside our door.  We have a 25-acre park with a one-mile walking trail for the  use of our residents, directly adjacent to the Anza Trail for hiking or biking recreation.  And, there is a grassy shaded park for picnics or other parties with family and friends.

The Santa Rita Social Center, a 30,000 sq. ft. recreation center, is nestled in The Springs and offers a multitude of Green Valley Recreation (GVR) activities.  The center includes a swimming pool and hot tub, fitness center, computer lab, clay studio, camera club, the Santa Rita Art League, and more.  The championship Torres Blancas Golf Course lies directly east of our community.

As a resident, guest, or renter in The Springs, you may enjoy our monthly potluck dinners, winter picnics in Perry Park, organized bicycle riding along the Anza trail, coffee get-togethers, and monthly meet-n-greet afternoon parties.

Green Valley, sometimes called “The Land of New Beginnings,” is located 25 miles south of Tucson and approximately 35 miles north of Nogales on I-19.   It began in the 1960’s as an affordable retirement destination for seniors, and today much of Green Valley remains age-restricted (55 and over).  We are an unincorporated community run by many volunteer groups with the cooperation of Pima County officials.   Directly to our east is a verdant grove of pecan trees and the spectacular Santa Rita Mountains.   We live close to the Titan Missile Museum, Tubac Arts Center, and Madera Canyon, a must visit for birders and hikers.
